Here is an uncommon trilobite from a majot trilobite collection. This is a rare, complete example of Nephrolenellus multinodus from the Cararra Formation of California. Complete trilobites from this formation are quite rare and usually quite ugly. This trilobite exhibits very good detail - the individual thoracic segments are well displayed, and the LONG pleural spines are intact and easily seen. The beautiful color of the fossil is quite striking and fully natural. And this is a split pair fossil - the counterpart is present and offered here at no charge (not pictured). This is a very collectible example of this classic Olenellid trilobite from California.
