Here is a very difficult-to-obtain trilobite. This is a large specimen of Viaphacops bomifrons from the Bois d'Arc Formation of Oklahoma. The trilobite is complete and mostly enrolled. This extremely inflated trilobite has absolutely no restoration. It has been meticulously cleaned in our prep lab to reveal the fine detail. This Phacopid trilobite has a small number of lenses in the eyes. The fossil has thick, caramel-colored exoskeleton that is somewhat weathered on one side of the head.. The trilobite is fully free of matrix and displays beautifully. This is a striking specimen of an enrolled Viaphacops from Oklahoma.
