Here is a rare grouping of trilobites that we just recently prepared. There are three examples of Flexicalymene retrorsa on the slab. Two trilobites are prone, one is enrolled - it is very unusual to have three trilobites on a plate this small. The two prone trilobites have free cheeks that are present and tightly attached. But the unusual feature of these trilobites is that the bugs are preserved "belly-to-belly" - in the missionary position! This is a very uncommon specimen of three Flexicalymene trilobites from Ohio.
