This is a very rare natural double plate of Cyphaspis carrolli from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This specimen was prepared by Bob Carroll, but not signed - years ago he only signed the Dicranurus, Ceratonurus, and Huntonias. Both trilobites are complete and exhibit excellent detail. The genal spines and thoracic spines are so thin and tiny that they are translucent - four of the six spines have been prepared free-standing! The trilobites are very 3-dimensional, have great color and contrast, and are well positioned on the sculpted block of marlstone. This is a very collectible plate of Cyphaspis carrolli prepared by Bob Carroll.
