This is an extremely rare Canadian trilobite. It is a beautiful Ceraurus sp. aff. matranseris from Ontario, Canada. We acquired this stunning specimen from the DeRosear Collection, who acquired it from Kevin Brett. The trilobite is complete, wonderfully articulated, and very inflated. The thick shell exoskeleton is amazingly well-preserved, and the dark brown coloration of the bug is fully natural. The trilobite is well showcased on the semi-rectangular matrix block. And there is NO RESTORATION WHATSOEVER to this fabulous fossil. This is an extremely collectible fossil - a top quality example of this screamin' rare type of Ceraurus from Canada.
