This is an extremely nice example of an unidentified asaphid trilobite from the Ordovician of Morocco. This specimen is from the same layers as the long-spined Ampyx trilobite. The bug has very good detail preserved - much of the original "shell" material of the exoskeleton is intact. The broad trilobite has great color and contrast and is well centered on a squared block of matrix that also contains a stray cephalon. This is one of the better specimens of this type of asaphid trilobite from Morocco.
