Here is a cool Oklahoma trilobite. This is a fine Huntonia lingulifer from the Lower Devonian. This specimen was found by Eugene Thomas in 2004 and just now prepared. This species of Huntonia has a long caudal spine, which is beautifully displayed on this specimen. This distinct trilobite is very 3-dimensional and wonderfully displayed. The large bug exhibits excellent detail - the cephalic process is easily seen, and the flaring genal spines have been prepared free-standing. The caramel-colored trilobite contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. The trilobite is well showcased on the sculpted block of limestone. This is a very displayable example of a ''long-tailed'' Huntonia from Oklahoma.
