Here is a trilobite that is very hard to find complete - especially in this condition. This is a beautiful Nevadia weeksi from the Lower Cambrian of Nevada. This type of Olenellid is very wide with long, sweeping pleural spines and an opisthothorax comprised of many, many segments. This specimen has great color and exhibits excellent detail - the incredible opisthothorax is wonderfully displayed, and the long pleural spines are also intact - even looks like some of the left side pleurons were bitten - Lower Cambrian predation! The bug is nicely showcased on the large plate of matrix. And this is a rare split pair - both part and counterpart are offered here together (not pictured). This is one of the most collectible examples we have seen of this rare, primitive trilobite.
