This is a wonderful spiny trilobite. It is a very nice Kettneraspis williamsi from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This specimen was found by Eugene Thomas in 2008 and just now prepared. This outstretched trilobite is well articulated and exhibits excellent detail. Both free cheeks are intact and tight, which is somewhat unusual. The long genal spines and the thin pleural spines are beautifully displayed. The protruding eyes are easily seen, and the ''fringes'' of the free cheeks are clearly defined. The inflated bug has great color and contrast and is beautifully showcased on the large block of marlstone. This is a very fine example of Kettneraspis from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma.
