This is an unusual Devonian trilobite. It is a fine Morocconites malladoids, named for the country in which it was found. This specimen has a long spine that protrudes from the front of the head. This is very unusual in trilobite morphology. The rest of the bug is also nicely preserved. The small eyes even have the compound eye facets intact. The fossil is beautifully centered on the large, sculpted block of limestone. This is a very nice example of this ''Unicorn'' of trilobites.
