This is an extremely rare spiny trilobite. It is a complete Ceratonurus sp. from the Devonian of Oklahoma. This specimen was found by Eugene Thomas in 1998, and was just now prepared. This type of trilobite has long eye stalks and extremely thin occipital spines (''horns''), which have been meticulously prepared in a free-standing manner on this specimen. The bug is somewhat inflated and exhibits good detail. The long, flowing pleural spines are well showcased, and even the tiny ''fringes'' of the free cheeks and tail are seen. The caramel-colored trilobite contrasts strikingly with the light-colored matrix plate. The bug is very well displayed on the sculpted block of marlstone. This is a very uncommon, complete example of one of the most sought-after trilobites from Oklahoma.
