This is possibly the rarest trilobite found in the Middleport Quarry. It is a complete Decoroproetus corycoeus from the Rochester Shale. This specimen was in the Eugene Thomas Collection and just recently fully prepared. This trilobite is complete, which is only one of a handful of this type ever found complete. The specimen is also nicely outstretched and well articulated, which is also extremely rare. The bug is well showcased on a large plate of shale that also contains a complete Bumastus! This is an excellent example of this hard-to-find Silurian trilobite.
