Here is a very large specimen of Paciphacops campbelli from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Kainops by the smaller number of lenses in the eyes. This specimen is outstretched and wonderfully articulated. The bug is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The granulose glabella is nicely displayed, and the compound eyes of the trilobite are quite evident. Even the individual lenses of the eyes are very distinct. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The bug is well showcased on the sculpted block of limestone. This is an extremely nice example of this small-eyed Phacopid trilobite from the Haragan Formation.
