Here is a classic US trilobite. This is a cool Huntoniatonia (Huntonia) huntonensis from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This trilobite was found by Eugene Thomas in 2002 and just now prepared. This 3-dimensional bug is wonderfully outstretched and exhibits very fine detail. Both inflated, protruding eyes are easily seen, and the individual lenses of the compound eyes are almost perfectly preserved. The trilobite has excellent natural color and contrast and is wonderfully showcased on the large block of marlstone. And the trilobite is well over THREE inches long! This is a large display specimen of this highly sought-after US trilobite.
