This is a natural double from the Devonian of Morocco. This is not a composited slab like some Moroccan trilobite specimens. The piece of matrix contains both a Metacanthina barrandei and a Phacops speculator. Both trilobites are prone and exhibit fine detail. The eye facets are quite evident on both specimens. The trilobites are 3-dimensional and well articulated. The fossils have great dark grayish-black color and contrast nicely with the matrix. This is an interesting trilobite association specimen from the Atlas Mountains.
