This is a very fine example of Asaphus (Neoasaphus) cornutus from the Ordovician of Russia. The specimen is very 3-dimensional and is positioned nicely on a natural block of matrix. The trilobite has good caramel brown color and contrasts well with the cream-colored matrix. The specimen is wonderfully articulated and is in the "crawling off the rock" position. This is an excellent specimen of this Asaphid from Russia.
