Here is a nice semi-squared slab from the Lower Cambrian of Nevada containing two different species of Olenellus. The trilobite at the top of the picture is Olenellus gilberti. This trilobite is essentially complete and has very good definition. Even part of the tail spine is preserved. The lower trilobite is Olenellus chiefensis. This trilobite is missing a slight amount toward the posterior region. The trilobites are in close proximity to each other and are well centered on the matrix. This is a fine association piece from the Pioche Formation of Nevada.
