From a lower stratigraphic level in the Ordovician of Russia, here is a nice double specimen of Asaphus lepidurus. This is a very fine specimen. Both trilobites are 3-dimensional and very well articulated. The fossils have great caramel brown color and contrast nicely with the cream-colored matrix. They are well positioned on a natural block of rock. This is a wonderful display plate of this small-eyed Asaphid from Russia.
