This is a HUGE, complete specimen of Isotelus mafritzi from the Ordovician of Canada. This massive trilobite is inflated and wonderfully articulated. The fine detail of the bug is easily seen. The dark brownish-black color of the trilobite contrasts well with the greyish matrix. The bug is nicely showcased on the squared limestone block. This is a very nice example of a gigantic Isotelus mafritzi from Canada.
