Here is an excellent specimen of a rare Illaenus sp.(?) from the Ordovician of Morocco. This trilobite was meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS prep lab in Colorado, as are all of our Moroccan trilobites. This trilobite is complete and nicely articulated. This bug is wonderfully outstretched and very inflated. The trilobite is preserved with black shell intact - this is only the second example of this type we have ever seen. This is an outstanding example of this ultra-rare Illaenus-type from Morocco.
