Here is a beautiful specimen of Dalmanites limulurus from the Silurian of New York. This complete trilobite is prone and wonderfully articulated. The bug is somewhat inflated and exhibits great detail. Both genal spines and the long caudal spine are nicely displayed. The individual lenses of the protruding, compound eyes are quite evident. The distinct trilobite has excellent color and contrast and is beautifully showcased in the center of a large plate of shale. This is a very fine display specimen of this classic trilobite from New York.
