Here is an excellent specimen of Reedops deckeri from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. It was found by Eugene Thomas in our trilobite quarry in Oklahoma and recently prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. This Phacopid trilobite is wonderfully inflated (unusual) and nicely outstretched. The trilobite has great detail - the very fine pustules on the entire exoskeleton are still intact. The large compound eyes are well preserved and the individual lenses of the eyes are almost fully intact. The bug has great color and contrast and is well showcased on the large block of sculpted limestone. This is a beautiful example of a very 3-D Reedops from Oklahoma.
