Here is a very nice double specimen of Paralejurus rehamnanus from the Devonian of Morocco. This type of Paralejurus differs from the more common type by having short genal spines and a somewhat truncated cephalon. These wonderfully articulated trilobites are very inflated and well preserved in the prone position. Both free cheeks are intact on both trilobites, and the fine detail of the bugs is easily seen. The large pygidia are quite evident, and the pointed pleurons are clearly defined. The black color of the trilobites contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. The trilobites are well showcased on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is a very attractive double example of this unusual type of Paralejurus.
