Here is a very collectible US trilobite. This is a cool Huntoniatonia (Huntonia) huntonensis from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This trilobite was found by Eugene Thomas in 2005 and just now prepared. This 3-dimensional bug is wonderfully outstretched and exhibits very fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached, which is quite unusual. The inflated, protruding eyes are easily seen, and even the individual lenses of the compound eyes are displayed. The trilobite has excellent natural color and contrast and is wonderfully showcased on the large block of marlstone. This is a gorgeous specimen of this highly sought-after US trilobite.
