Here is a fabulous specimen of Kainops raymondi from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses in the eyes. This specimen is large and nicely preserved. The bug is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The granulose glabella is nicely displayed, and the compound eyes of the trilobite are practically perfect. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The bug is well presented on the large block of sculpted limestone. This is a very nice example of this large-eyed Phacopid trilobite from the Haragan Formation.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
