Here is a very collectible US trilobite. This is a large Huntoniatonia (Huntonia) huntonensis from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This trilobite was found and prepared by Bob Carroll in 1998. This 3-dimensional bug is wonderfully outstretched and exhibits very fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached, which is quite unusual. The inflated, protruding eyes are easily seen, and even the individual lenses of the compound eyes are clearly defined - this is extremely uncommon. The long, wide genal spines and distinct tailspine are quite obvious. The trilobite has excellent color and contrast and is wonderfully centered on the large block of sculpted marlstone. This is a gorgeous specimen of this highly sought-after trilobite, prepared by the ''Master'' himself, Bob Carroll.
