This is a very large specimen of Isotelus mafritzi from the Ordovician of Canada. This trilobite is complete and well articulated. The bug exhibits fine detail - the distinct features of this trilobite are easily seen. The dark color of the trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the grey matrix. Although the fossil is quite flat, it is well presented on the semi-squared block of limestone. This is a very affordable example of a large Isotelus from the Ordovician of Ontario.
