As everyone knows, complete Mississippian trilobites are very rare and highly collectible. This is a very fine example of Hesslerides bufo from the Mississippian of Indiana. This trilobite was collected from the famous Crawfordsville crinoid beds. This specimen is complete and very 3-dimensionally preserved. Both free cheeks are present and the short genal spines are beautifully displayed. The chocolate-brown bug contrasts wonderfully with the blue-grey matrix. The trilobite is well positioned on the sculpted block of limey siltstone. This is a top quality Hesslerides trilobite from the Crinoid Beds.
