This is a very rare Cheirurid trilobite. It is a large Acanthoparypha tumida from Russia. We have only seen two or three of this type ever. This specimen is complete with both free cheeks intact and tight. The main feature of this trilobite, its huge, bulbous glabella, is fully intact and displays prominently. The thick shell exoskeleton is well-preserved, and the rich, butterscotch coloration is strikingly beautiful. And this trilobite is guaranteed to be natural - NOT COMPOSITED on the matrix. This is a top quality example of this rare and collectible Russian trilobite.
