This is wonderful Silurian trilobite. It is a large Calymene clavicula from Oklahoma. The trilobite is complete and very well articulated (tail is present, but hard to see in the photo). The bug has both free cheeks preserved, and the eyes display prominently. The color is beautiful and fully natural. But the best feature of this trilobite is that it is fully free of matrix - it sits on a pillar above the matrix. This is a very displayable Calymene clavicula from Oklahoma.
