This is a fabulous specimen of Zeliszkella torrubiae from the Ordovician of Portugal. This distinct, sleek-looking trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The large eyes are clearly defined, and some compound eye facets are even displayed. The bug has outstanding natural color and contrast, and is well showcased on the large, natural plate of matrix - many times, the trilobites from this area are on very small slivers of matrix and not very ''showy''. This is one of the best examples of this uncommon trilobite that we have seen.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
