This is a great specimen of Morocconites from Morocco. The trilobite is wonderfully prone and nicely articulated. The specimen has been prepared in an elevated position above a rounded piece of matrix. The matrix has been excavated under the cephalon to reveal the hypostoma, or mouthplate, of the trilobite. The trilobite has excellent color and contrast. It exhibits fine detail. The individual eye facets are evident and the long upturned anterior spine comes to a fine point. This is a beautifully prepared specimen of a very sleek Morocconites from the Devonian.
