This is a fabulous specimen of Scutellum pustulatum. This distinct trilobite is from the Devonian of Morocco. The specimen is nicely articulated, with both free cheeks present and tightly attached. The large trilobite is very inflated and 3-D, and the exoskeleton of the trilobite is extremely pustulose, thus its name. The bug has a beautiful, natural brownish color that contrasts nicely with the lighter colored matrix. The trilobite is well showcased on the sculpted block of limestone. This is a top quality specimen of this highly ornamented Scutellid.
