This is one of the most sought-after trilobites in the world. It is a Cordania wessmani from Coal County, Oklahoma, acquired from the Paul Richman Collection. This specimen is HUGE - at 1.2 inches, it is easily one of the largest of this type ever found. It is not just large, it is spectacular. Except for a small spot of restoration on the right brim, it is a "perfect" specimen. The butterscotch coloring is beautiful and the detail is incredible. And it is one of the most articulated ones we have ever seen. This is one bug we were considering keeping because we know we may never see another one this large and this nice. Considering the rarity and quality of this specimen, this is the textbook definition of a "collectible trilobite".
