This is an excellent example of a very rare trilobite. It is a complete specimen of Basidechenella rowi from the Devonian of New York. This specimen was found years ago, and was acquired from a major trilobite collector. The trilobite is outstretched and preserved in a 3-dimensional manner. The bug is very nicely articulated and exhibits excellent, dark exoskeleton. The deep brown fossil contrasts nicely with the lighter grey matrix. The trilobite is well showcased on the plate of limestone that also contains an Eldredgeops with nice, faceted eyes. This is a very collectible Basidechenella rowi from New York.
