This is a very nice Cyphaspis tafilaltense from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite has been prepared with free-standing genal spines and a free-standing thoracic spine. The specimen is 3-dimensional and perched on the corner of a small piece of matrix. The fossil has excellent color and contrast and exhibits wonderful detail. The long swooping spines give this trilobite an alien-like appearance. This is a very displayable Cyphaspis from Morocco.
