This is a very fine specimen of Asteropyge sp. from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite has great color and contrast. It is nicely positioned on a rounded piece of matrix. This fossil has wonderful detail. The compound eyes are quite evident. One of the thoracic pleura has been shortened, perhaps due to injury or predation. This is a very appealing specimen of Asteropyge from Morocco.
