This is a rare trilobite plate. It is a natural double Heliopyge from Morocco. This type surfaced a few years ago, but good specimens have always been hard to find - this specimen has two on one rock! Both trilobites are complete and are very inflated. The detail is excellent, and the large compound eyes show the facets beautifully. The unique greenish-yellow coloration of the exoskeleton is both striking and natural. And the unusual positioning of the bugs on the rock is also fully natural. This is a very collectible pair of Heliopyge trilobites preserved together forever.
