This is a fine Elrathia kingi from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. The trilobite is from the "Red Beds", not the more common black layers. The bug complete and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The specimen has been extracted from the surrounding rock so that it is completely free of matrix. This specimen would make a nice "center stone" for a unique piece of jewelry. Specimens of this trilobite have been found hundreds of miles away that were drilled by Native Americans for use as adornment purposes. This is a very colorful example of Elrathia kingi from Utah.
