Here is a multiple specimen of a ''classic'' US trilobite. It is a double Sthenarocalymene celebra from the Silurian of Illinois. These trilobites are well preserved in an outstretched position and exhibits fine detail. They are extremely inflated and nicely articulated. The free cheeks are present, and the individual thoracic segments are easily seen. The bugs have good color and contrast and are well presented on the sculpted dolomitic base. This is a nice example of two Sthenarocalymenes naturally occurring together on the same rock.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
