This is a colorful specimen of Coronocephalus sp. from the Silurian of China. This type of trilobite has a small bulbous glabella and a large ribbed tail with short, thin spines along the pygidial border. The long genal spines are intact, which is extremely unusual. The natural, yellow-orange coloration of the trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the greyish-brown matrix. The bug is beautifully showcased on the large block of rock. This is a striking example of Coronocephalus from China.
