This is a "sleek" specimen of Cornuproetus cornutus from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is very inflated and shows great contrast with the matrix. The fossil has exquisite detail, even exhibiting the granulated surface of the exoskeleton. The articulation of this trilobite is wonderful. The long, flowing genal spines extend past the posterior of the pygidium. This is perhaps one of the finest specimens of this species we have ever seen. This is a beautiful specimen of Cornuproetus from Morocco.
