This is an excellent Eldredgeops rana rana plate from the Middle Devonian of New York. This specimen was found years ago at the famous Penn-Dixie Quarry. There are two complete, one enrolled, and one partial trilobite on the plate. The fossils are inflated and exhibit fine detail. The individual facets of the eyes and the pustulose glabellas are extremely well preserved. The dark brown trilobites contrast beautifully with the light grey matrix. The bugs are nicely showcased on the large matrix plate. And the one Eldredgeops is 1.65 inches long - very large for this type. This is a very fine multiple specimen of Eldredgeops from New York.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
