This is a nice example of a Russian trilobite. It is a fine Neoasaphus cornutus from the Middle Ordovician. This type of Asaphid trilobite has very small eyes - this specimen showcases this feature beautifully. The inflated bug is very symmetrical and well articulated. The complete trilobite has outstanding color and exhibits superb detail. The fossil is wonderfully presented on the natural-edged matrix plate. This is an excellent example of this classic Asaphid trilobite.
