This is a nice Devonian trilobite. It is a Phacops speculator from Morocco. This trilobite came from an old collection. The bug is large and extremely 3-dimensional. The robust trilobite is nicely articulated and exhibits great detail. The granulose nature of the exoskeleton is clearly defined, and the large, compound eyes are well preserved. Many of the individual lenses are intact and easily seen. The trilobite has very good color and contrast and is well showcased on the plate of dense limestone. This is a very affordable specimen of Phacops speculator from Morocco.
