This is an excellent trilobite that we recently acquired from an old collection. It is a complete specimen of Brachyaspidion microps from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. This type of trilobite has a somewhat rectangular cephalon with short genal spines, thirteen thoracic segments, and a small, rounded pygidium. This distinct trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits outstanding detail. Both free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The inflated bug has nice color and contrast and is beautifully centered on the natural plate of matrix. This is a wonderful example of Brachyaspidion microps from Utah.
