Here is a nice specimen of Huntonia oklahomae from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This trilobite has been prepared with free-standing genal spines. The fossil exhibits fine detail. Many times, Huntonia do not preserve the lenses of the eyes. In this particular specimen, many of the eye lenses are discernible. The dark brown trilobite contrasts well with the light colored matrix. The trilobite has a slight hump in the thorax which adds some character to the specimen. It appears as if the trilobite is swimming or crawling. This is a good specimen of a Huntonia oklahomae with character.
