Here is an unusual trilobite from South America. This is Parabolina argentina from the Ordovician of Argentina. This trilobite is much more inflated than most specimens of this type. The trilobite is nicely articulated and shows fine detail - the detail is much better in person than the photo shows. The bug has good color and contrast and is well presented on the natural block of matrix. This is a nice example of this South American trilobite.
Note: Argentina has now banned the export of all fossils. We will strictly abide by and enforce this law - we will not acquire new fossils from Argentina. However, this fossil was collected and exported prior to this law, and can be sold legally.
