This is a beautiful specimen of Mrakibina cattoi from the Devonian of Morocco. This unusual type of trilobite has very small eyes, extremely long, wide genal spines, and many long pygidial spines - all of these features are clearly defined and well displayed on this specimen. The tiny eyes are easily seen, and the pointed pygidial lappets are all intact and prepared in a free-standing manner. The long, distinct genal spines have also been prepared free of matrix. The trilobite has excellent natural color and contrast and is well displayed on the expertly sculpted block of dense limestone. This is a very collectible example of this uncommon trilobite from the Atlas Mountains.
