Here is a top quality specimen of Flexicalymene senaria from the famous Walcott-Rust Quarry of New York. This complete trilobite is almost perfectly prone and very well articulated. Both free cheeks are present, which is quite unusual. The bug exhibits fine detail - even the tiny granulations on the thick shell exoskeleton are easily seen. The trilobite has great, natural color and contrast and is well displayed on the squared block of limestone that also contains Isotelus and Ceraurus cephalons and many other fossils. This is the best example of Flexicalymene senaria we have seen come out of the Walcott-Rust Quarry.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
